Summary
I make things go and build the teams and systems to scale
Demonstrable expertise driving revenue and managing growth at scrappy and scaling start-ups. A leader who develops and implements process improvements that combine best practices with innovation. An experienced manager who facilitates a positive, collaborative environment to bring out the best in people and develop them into leaders themselves. Thrives in fast-paced, high-stress environments where priorities change frequently.
I am passionate about entrepreneurship. I have spent most of my life involved in, starting, and running businesses. Growing up in a family business I learned at an early age the hard work and commitment it took and I knew it was what I wanted to do. That work ethic coupled with my passion drove me to manage and run several businesses from retail to e-commerce.
I spent seven years helping over a dozen tech-enabled, food and e-commerce start-up companies including being part of a small 4 person startup teams as well as running key markets for a national food-delivery company, and launching new markets for largest startup in the world. I specialize in execution. I get in and do the work necessary to get to things done and then build the teams and the systems to maintain and scale the company

Operations Manager 2003 - 2005
I was the original Operations Manager of a fledgling new product. We were a team of 4 and I managed all manufacturing scheduling, distribution, and all major relationships with wholesalers and retailers. We grew from an initial test of 4 Costco's in 2 states to 11 Costco's in over 40 states. At the peak, I managed several warehouses throughout the country and was making and shipping over 100 pallets of product every month. I built all of the systems and personally managed all of the ordering, shipping, and management of that growth. In that time we doubled our sales year over year every year.
Ty provided a first hand example of the energy, enthusiasm, small to large amounts of insanity, and optimism that it takes to survive and thrive in a Startup. He took on whatever tasks (never one at a time!) needed doing, without loosing focus on our business objectives, getting product out and money in. In the midst of radical change, incredible pressures, and chaos -- Ty provided a source of consistent integrity that I and the entire team admired.
